"The best aspect of this release is that it plays out like a live performance. In fact that was where my mind’s eye went when listening to the music. Furthermore, I think the six songs have a good flow from beginning to end. Although there is only one instrument the dynamics are apparent in the way he approaches the songs. That combined with solid songwriting and singing and you have a release I think many people will appreciate." - Divide and Conquer Music

lyrics

Yesterday has left a shadow,
over all that my mind has known,
as good will falls from its place,
found strangers within our home.

Safety flees from within these walls,
Rooms that seep pharisaical gall,
those who push down on your shoulders,
standing as you try to crawl.

Discipline for the seditious words they say,
breaking their will until opinion decays.

Suetonius son,
talking through what you have done,
justifying all the scars,
as you twist the knives in their backs.

Excommunication awaits,
for those who see a different stage,
cut the nose, despise the face,
we could've pulled the same way.

Words spoken in confidence yours to betray
sharp words of homily designed to repay.

Dismissive of the foundations
on which your faux throne is stationed
I wonder if you will ever know how much pain and sorrow,
flows from the string of your bow.

Time stands still here while it watches,
citadels now standing ruins,
to them disposable,
Mere statistics fighting the flow.

"This isn’t light gentle acoustic, there’s a strength to the guitar playing and vocals that give it a power and feel that a lot of acoustic artists just don’t have." - SwanScene
